Navtej Singh Sidhu, 2 February 2009 was the victim of violence of three boys who beat him and burned him with gasoline. It happened overnight in the train station of Nettuno a few kilometers from Rome. The young Indian Sikh had missed the last train to Rome and failed to return home. The three boys, respectively 29, 20 and 16 were all sentenced at first instance with different punishments. The Indian, who worked as a bricklayer and laborer, a year after painful story is in a health structure for rehabilitation. He has undergone several surgeries and before he regains the use of his legs, it will take several years of expensive therapy.
Navtej Singh Sidhu, il 2 febbraio 2009 resta vittima della violenza di tre ragazzi che dopo averlo picchiato gli danno fuoco con della benzina. Tutto è avvenuto durante la notte nella stazione di Nettuno a pochi chilometri da Roma. Il giovane indiano, di religione Sik, aveva perso l'ultimo treno in direzione di Roma e non era riuscito a tornare a casa. I tre ragazzi, rispettivamente di 29, 20 e 16 sono stati tutti condannati in primo grado con pene diverse. L'indiano, che lavorava come muratore e manovale, a un anno dalla penosa vicenda si trova in una struttura sanitaria per la riabilitazione. Ha subito diversi interventi chirurgici e nonostante questo passeranno diversi anni prima che possa riacquistare l'utilizzo pieno delle gambe, o forse non ce la farà mai.
